A complete kitchen transformation — outdated layout reconfigured, custom cabinetry installed, quartz countertops throughout, new appliances, and a designer tile backsplash that made the space feel new from the ground up.
The Sharlane kitchen had two problems: the original layout and the original finishes. Both were addressed from the start. A wall between the kitchen and the breakfast room was reconfigured to open the space and allow for a larger island — the anchoring piece that made the final design work. New custom shaker cabinetry in a warm white finish was installed floor to ceiling, maximizing storage and giving the room a coherent, high-end look that the previous cabinetry couldn't deliver.
Quartz countertops in a soft white with veining run throughout — on the perimeter, on the island, and on the beverage bar that was added on the far wall. The tile backsplash was chosen to complement without competing: a handmade ceramic in a horizontal stacked pattern with a subtle texture that catches the light differently throughout the day.
New appliances throughout — a 36" six-burner gas range, a counter-depth refrigerator in a panel-ready finish to integrate with the cabinetry, an integrated dishwasher, and a microwave drawer in the island — complete a kitchen that functions as well as it looks. Under-cabinet LED lighting, a deep farm sink with a bridge faucet in unlacquered brass, and solid brass cabinet hardware finish the space with the kind of detail that lasts.
