The Twelve Oaks primary bath renovation began with a full gut — everything out to the studs, new waterproofing, new plumbing rough-in. The original bath had adequate square footage but had never used it well: a cramped shower, an old garden tub nobody ever used, and a layout that felt like a compromise.
The redesign started by eliminating the garden tub and using that footprint to create a proper wet room — a large walk-in shower with a ceiling-mounted rain head, a hand-held wand, and a built-in linear drain with floor-to-ceiling marble tile on every surface. A freestanding soaking tub was repositioned to face the window — the same square footage, now used as a destination rather than an afterthought.
The dual vanity was custom-built with a furniture-quality finish — two separate 36" sink stations with a linen tower between them, quartz countertops, and under-mount sinks in a bright white. Fixtures throughout are in a matte black finish: wall-mounted faucets at the vanity, the tub filler, and the shower trim all in the same family. The floor is heated — an addition that was roughed in during the plumbing phase and adds a comfort level that clients notice every morning.
